1. Background
As part of the Ngoma Kurira Color Hike – Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, Domboview Adventures, in collaboration with the Cancer Care Network Zimbabwe (CCNZ) , revert on the cancer outreach program for delivery of essential health services to patients and community members of Goodhope and Mt Hampden.
The outreach will create a platform for awareness, screening, prevention, and patient support, ensuring that cancer awareness goes beyond the hike to reach communities directly in need.
2. Objectives
To provide cancer screening, education, and self-examination talks to community members.
To facilitate access to medical professionals and specialists for those who might not otherwise receive timely cancer-related care.
To raise awareness of cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment options.
To conduct diabetes screening and blood pressure (BP) tests for early detection of chronic illnesses.
To raise awareness about drug and substance abuse, especially among youths, and promote healthier lifestyle choices.
To strengthen partnerships between CCNZ, Goodhope Hospital, and Domboview Adventures in supporting cancer patients and survivors.
3. Roles and Responsibilities
Cancer Care Network Zimbabwe (CCNZ):
Provide medical personnel (specialists, doctors, nurses).
Supply medical equipment required for screening and awareness sessions.
Conduct cancer health talks and awareness training.
Goodhope Hospital:
Mobilize and provide patients from its network for the outreach program.
Assist in coordinating with community members and survivors.
Provide medical follow-up support where necessary.
Domboview Adventures:
Facilitate logistics for the outreach program.
Assist with mobilization, publicity, and community engagement.
4. Expected Turnout
Based on community mobilization through Goodhope Hospital, it is appropriate that:
You respond with an approximate number of individuals that may require cancer awareness and screening services on the day.
Revert your commitment to facilitate the program financially or infrastructurally.
Assist wherever possible.
5. Resource Needs & PPE
To ensure a safe and effective outreach, the following will be required:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical staff (masks, gloves, gowns, sanitizers).
Screening equipment (to be supplied by CCNZ).
Educational materials (pamphlets, banners, self-examination guides).
Basic logistical support for medical staff and volunteers.
A detailed budget for PPE and other consumables will be drafted once the expected number of medical personnel is confirmed by CCNZ.

Increased awareness and knowledge about cancer prevention and treatment.
